Best view that is affordable. If you are a nature lover, I would definitely recommend the place. Everything was picture perfect. Wish I could drink coffee with a view like that every morning.

Place of silence, stars, peace! We had a wonderful weekend. Peace & quiet. Charmain was an amazing hostess who welcomed us, but also fully respected our need for privacy. Thank you for allowing our four-legged child to come along. We enjoyed the walk with her on the beautiful farm. We will definitely see you again!

Primitive but clean and neat. Boschfontein Guest Farm is 8 km on a dirt road that was very wet and muddy during the rainy season we went. The road to the guesthouse itself where we found the hostess is also dirt, but beautiful. She received us and took us another 2 km higher up to the foot of the mountain. Road very narrow, 2 tracks, but very beautiful and drivable. The house where we were was very neat with facilities for braai, with a gas stove and gas fridge. Nice double bed, bathroom and outdoor shower. You have to make a fire outside in a donkey for hot water. Firewood and matches are provided. Water takes about an hour, then you can shower, but is not boiling. There is no 220 V power to charge cellphones; had to turn off the cellphones to save battery for an emergency. The next day we charged the phones in the car while we drove. Very nice view over the bushveld and very quiet. There are 12 V lights that run on a battery and charge during the day with a small solar panel. Lights are quite effective in the evenings. Our vehicle was parked next to the cottage. The glass front door can be locked from the outside, but not from the inside when you go to sleep. We enjoyed the silence of the bushveld and the high and distant view of the forest and mountains was very beautiful. I will go again, but just be more prepared.

Very quiet and peaceful place to stay. Facilities are fairly basic but clean. Building needs some attention though.

1. Refrigerator doesn't get cold and we needed it. We had a nice stay. We are beyond people.

Stayed for the weekend during the Marakele race. Lovely, rural forest stay in beautiful surroundings. Louis and Charmain were very comfortable, helpful and hospitable. They also helped us with my vehicle when the battery failed. However, it is not suitable for people looking for luxury accommodation.
