Buccara Karoo Graaff-Reinet invites you to discover our Secret Places in South Africa and enjoy an adventure of a lifetime. Throughout history, travellers have followed the paths of nature guided by migrating birds and roaming wildlife to find places of nourishment, rest, peace, and beauty. At Buccara Karoo Graaff-Reinet, we are proud to honour this timeless tradition.

Our ethos is rooted in healthy living, harmony with the land, respect for indigenous culture, wildlife conservation, ecological awareness, and an exceptional quality of life. These values are carefully preserved by our team and shared with every guest who visits.

Clifton Manor House & Clifton Main House
These houses may be booked per room within the house or for exclusive use.
When booking per room, guests enjoy a private bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, while shared spaces including the kitchen, braai facilities, lounge, and swimming pool?are enjoyed communally with other guests in the house.

Willowslopes Cottage
Each cottage features a private kitchenette and braai area. Guests also have access to shared facilities, including the swimming pool, dining area, bar, and communal kitchen.
Willowslopes is situated deeper within the reserve and requires a high-clearance vehicle for access.

Willowslopes Main House
This house offers mostly private facilities, with the swimming pool and bar area being the only shared spaces. As with the cottages, access requires a high-clearance vehicle.

Road Access to the Accommodation
From the R61 tar road turn-off, a well-maintained 9 km dirt road leads to Clifton Manor House and Clifton Main House. A medium-clearance vehicle is required. For guests staying at Willowslopes, the journey continues beyond this point with an additional 8.5 km through riverine terrain. A high-clearance vehicle is essential for this route.

Pet Policy
All pets must be approved by management prior to arrival. Unfortunately, if prior approval has not been arranged at the time of reservation confirmation or before arrival, we will be unable to accommodate the booking. Please note that our friendly Buccara cats and dogs roam the property freely. They are sociable with both guests and other pets, adding to the relaxed, farm-style atmosphere.
