Casa Cara Resort is situated on the banks of the Vaal River, approximately 8 km outside Parys, within the Vredefort Dome World Heritage Site. Offering a variety of self-catering units and luxury tented accommodation, the resort is an ideal destination for couples, families, groups, and guests attending weddings or functions.
Accommodation is available in a selection of Standard, Deluxe, and Superior self-catering units, luxury tents, the Bush Camp, Pond Villa, and the Cabanas. The lodge units are each furnished with a king-size bed and feature an en-suite bathroom, a bar fridge, microwave, ceiling fan, and braai facilities. Selected units also include a private entertainment area with a bush lapa and a kitchen. The luxury tent accommodates 2 guests and comprises a king-size bed, an open-plan en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath and a shower, and a kitchen equipped with a stove, microwave, fridge, cutlery, and crockery. Bush Camp can accommodate up to 8 guests and comprises 3 bedrooms, an outdoor bathroom fitted with a shower, a washbasin, and a toilet, as well as a private kitchen, boma, and braai facilities. Pond Villa accommodates up to 8 guests in 4 bedrooms and features 3 bathrooms, while the Cabanas can accommodate up to 4 adults in 2 bedrooms with 1 bathroom.
Guests have access to an entertainment area located approximately 700 m from the accommodation, which includes a restaurant, a swimming pool, and a children's play park. The use of the swimming pool and play park is included in the accommodation rate. The resort is surrounded by beautiful natural scenery, making it an excellent base from which to explore the Vredefort Dome and the Vaal River.
