Description
Nestled among the hills and natural dams in the Mabalingwe Game Reserve, Chill-’n-Biki Lodge offers comfortable self-catering accommodation in a 3-bedroom thatched house. The Big 5 reserve is a nature lover’s paradise set on 12 500-hectares, and has 24-hour security.
The house is conveniently located within walking distance to the main swimming pool, a putt-putt course, a tennis court, a squash court, a children’s play area, a pool table, a big chess board, heated swimming pools, a restaurant, and the farm shop.
The house can accommodate 6 adults and 2 children. There are 3 en-suite bedrooms, each fitted with a bath, a shower and a toilet. Other in-room facilities include a fully equipped open-plan kitchen and living area; the kitchen is equipped with a microwave, an electric oven and stove, a fridge/freezer, and cutlery and crockery. Full DStv is also available. Guests can enjoy braai’s in their own private boma while listening to the sounds of the bushveld.
Undercover parking is available for 3 cars.
Come unwind and experience the wildlife up close as animals roam freely around the lodge. Enjoy the rich animal and bird life. Game drives is free when you drive with your own vehicle or you can book a game drive at reception. On-site facilities include a restaurant and bar, a bush pub, a liquor store, an ATM and petrol station.
The reserve also offers a variety of on-site activities such as archery, game drives, night drives, sunset drives, bird watching, horseback safaris, and lion feeding. Mabalingwe Game Reserve is an hour and a half’s drive from Pretoria, and a half an hour’s drive from Bela-Bela. Get away from the hustle of the city and come enjoy the bushveld at it's best.
Chill-’n-Biki is part of Elephant Lodge, so named because it lies on the route of Mabalingwe’s elephant herd, who often come by to visit us.
