The City Lodge Hotel GrandWest is themed in the original Cape Dutch style of architecture in keeping with its location within the GrandWest Casino Complex in Cape Town. This convenient location affords guests easy access to all of the casino resort’s attractions, including a cinema complex, ice-rink, restaurants, bars, gaming tables and slot machines, as well as a fully kitted out children’s entertainment area.
The 176-room hotel offers several spacious air-conditioned rooms which contain either a queen-size or twin beds, along with an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower and a separate bath. Interleading family rooms are also available. In-room amenities include a TV with selected DStv channels and radio stations, tea- and coffee-making facilities, an electronic safe large enough to accommodate a laptop, and a desk with lighting and plugs for easy connectivity. Free Wi-Fi access is also provided. Selected rooms have been designed for the physically disabled.
The hotel offers a 12-seater boardroom; #Café restaurant and sundowner bar; sparkling swimming pool; and fitness room. The hotel is 20 minutes from Cape Town International Airport, the CBD and the famous V&A Waterfront.
As with all of the group’s properties in Cape Town, the hotel features a variety of water-saving devices and systems following the severe drought of 2018, allowing guests a comfortable yet responsible stay.
