Coleford Lodge is situated approximately 29 km outside Underberg in the Southern Drakensberg within the Maloti-Drakensberg Park World Heritage Site. This off-the-grid establishment is powered by solar energy with generator backup and provides a base for nature-based activities.
The lodge offers 7 natural stone units available for bed and breakfast or self-catering stays. These units accommodate between 2 and 6 guests and feature large verandas overlooking the garden and valley. Each unit is equipped with furniture and facilities designed for a comfortable stay.
On-site facilities include a swimming pool, a garden, and fire pits for evening use. A fully equipped communal lapa features a kitchen suitable for large groups, a fireplace, and recreational options such as a pool table, darts, and board games. The property also includes a volleyball court and can host gatherings for up to 50 people.
Local activities include bird-watching, hiking, and fishing in the nearby river. The lodge is located near a nature reserve where guests can view local game or utilise mountain-bike trails. Guided 4x4 tours up Sani Pass into Lesotho can be arranged for guests with valid passports.
