Guests can choose from a variety of accommodation options, each offering a different way to experience the reserve. Stay in one of our comfortable en-suite Lodge Rooms, unwind beside the dam at Mayfly Cottage – a spacious two-bedroom self-catering cottage with a wood-fired hot tub and beautiful views – or enjoy the privacy of Meerkat Manor, a charming one-bedroom self-catering cottage overlooking the home of our resident meerkats. For those who prefer sleeping closer to nature, our bushveld campsites offer a peaceful, off-grid camping experience surrounded by wildlife.
There is plenty to experience without ever leaving the reserve. Explore the bush on horseback during a guided horse safari, head out on a game drive, or join one of our wildlife educational tours for a closer look at some of the animals that call Horseback Africa home. Guests can also enjoy hiking and mountain biking trails, fishing, archery, rock climbing, birdwatching and horse-drawn carriage rides, or simply spend the day relaxing by the swimming pool and enjoying the sounds of the bush.
Wildlife including giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, kudu, waterbuck, impala and blesbok can be encountered around the reserve, making even a quiet walk or morning coffee part of the experience.
