Bland and empty, but situated in a great town. For the quantity of cash this place cost us, I'd expect every type of luxury going. The parquet floors are beautiful. However, the place was barren - everything stripped out to just the bare bones. The oven refused to work on the first night, the owners hadn't bothered to provide even one working television, and worse was the complete lack of WiFi. I know this is a 21st-century problem and we were warned that this was the case, but it severely impacted our abilities to organise ourselves and communicate with each other. Every holiday rental I have stayed in offers WiFi - I just don't understand why this place doesn't. Given it has 6 bedrooms, there was only 1 key fob provided, which made leaving the property very tricky. The letting agents provided us with a lock for the pedestrian gate, but again only 1 key. The pictures of the place show at least 1 additional room that was locked on our arrival and removed from use, which again impacted the arrangements that we'd planned. It's not the owners' fault that my husband slipped on the wet tiles one morning, but perhaps if they had provided a handrail down to the garden, the damage to his back may have been reduced. It is also unfortunate that the property overlooks one of the busiest roads in Ballito, so noise was an issue. On the plus side, the walk to Clarke Bay is a quick and easy 3 minutes.

Nice/relaxing/comfortable. Stay was very nice. Close to the beach and food.

Nice house, good for a relaxing break for a larger family or group. Stay was pleasant and the house accommodated our 3 families perfectly. The house location is good with a short walk to the beach, but the house is in need of repainting and some signs of damp/water ingress need attention. One side bathrooms had no hot water, but the tripped geyser was sorted and all was good thereafter.
