Built in 1713, Coopmanhuijs was one of the first grand residences in the heart of historic Stellenbosch. Today, Coopmanhuijs Boutique Hotel & Spa offers guests luxurious accommodation, surrounded by the town's many stylish shops, galleries, museums and oak trees.
Accommodation comprises 16 air-conditioned bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom. The bedrooms, with their soothing colours, have been furnished with fine Egyptian cotton bed linen. In order to preserve the dignity and charm of a bygone era, the décor is elegant. This is achieved, yet there is an underlying contemporary feel, together with an emphasis on the organic and the real. The interplay of colours and textures provokes a tangible sense of comfort.
Guests can enjoy meals from Helena's Restaurant and dine at leisure with a glass of fine Cape wine in the courtyard or in the cosy dining room. They are also welcome to visit the spa or simply relax by the pool.
Museums, art galleries and curio shops are all within safe walking distance. The hotel is the ideal destination from where guests can explore the Cape Winelands, Cape Town, with attractions that include Table Mountain and V&A Waterfront, as well as the many other attractions offered by the Western Cape.
