Description

Copperleigh Trout Cabin is a luxury self-catering log cabin situated on Copperleigh Farm in the upper Dargle area, part of the popular Midlands Meander. Overlooking the 10-hectare trout-stocked Mavela Dam, this tranquil retreat offers an ideal escape for couples seeking peace and scenic surroundings, with nearby attractions such as Howick and the iconic Sani Pass within easy reach.

The cabin can accommodate 2 guests and comprises 1 bedroom and 1 en-suite bathroom. The bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed and includes an electric blanket for added comfort. The en-suite bathroom is fitted with a shower, heated towel rail, washbasin, and toilet. Linen and luxury bath sheets are provided, while guests are required to bring their own swimming towels.

The kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer, 2 induction stove tops with approved cookware, a combination oven with a microwave, as well as cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. The open-plan living area is furnished with a comfortable leather couch and features a Smart TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime. Complimentary Wi-Fi access is also available.

The living area opens onto a covered wooden deck furnished with outdoor seating, where guests can enjoy uninterrupted views over the dam. Braai facilities and secure parking are provided on the premises. Each unit includes a kayak with paddles and a selection of life jackets, although guests are encouraged to bring their own. The property is located approximately 30 km from Howick, where guests can explore shops, restaurants, and attractions such as the Howick Falls and Karkloof Canopy Tours.
