Breathtaking scenery, difficult access and dated facilities. Please note that the booking page does not mention the 50 km dirt road, which makes the journey quite challenging. It is also not clearly stated that the accommodation for 18 people is split across two separate cottages, which is important information for larger groups. The location is not ideal to reach, but once you arrive, you are rewarded with breathtaking views and beautiful scenery. The setting along the Breede River is truly special and was a highlight of our stay. The cottages are in need of upgrading and better maintenance. The kitchen was not clean on arrival, with dirty cupboards and crockery that was old, chipped and not properly washed. The bedding in the bedroom also appeared old and unclean, which was disappointing. That said, considering the price, you do get what you pay for. Despite the issues mentioned, the scenery, views and overall natural surroundings made the stay enjoyable and worthwhile.
