Description
Crocriver Chalet is a spacious self-catering chalet surrounded by bushveld on a farm in Schoemanskloof. Overlooking the Crocodile River, the chalet offers a peaceful escape for families, friends, and nature lovers.
The chalet accommodates up to 6 guests and comprises 2 sleeping areas. The main bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed, while the loft area contains a queen-size bed and 2 single beds. The indoor bathroom is fitted with a bath, and a second outdoor bathroom overlooking the river has a shower. Both bathrooms are supplied with hot water, and linen and bath towels are provided.
The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, microwave, fridge-freezer, cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. Meals can be enjoyed at the breakfast counter, while the comfortable lounge features a TV with DStv and a cosy fireplace. Please note that the chalet operates on solar power, and guests are kindly requested to use electricity sparingly.
The living area opens onto a spacious wooden deck overlooking the Crocodile River. Guests also have access to a riverside lapa and fire pit, ideal for relaxing outdoors. Although there is no cellphone reception at the chalet, free Wi-Fi is available.
Guests can enjoy a variety of activities on the farm, including fishing, birdwatching, hiking, and cycling. The chalet is accessed via a 7 km gravel road, and a high-clearance vehicle, such as an SUV or bakkie, is recommended. During the rainy season, a 4x4 vehicle is advised.
