Description
Crooked Tree Cottage is set in the heart of Umhlanga, Durban, a premier holiday locations and tourist spot in South Africa. It is a stone throw away from Umhlanga Village with its golden sandy beaches.
Accommodation is offered in 3 guest rooms in a cottage, and 3 separate self-catering studio suites. Each room and suite has an en-suite bathroom, a TV with OVHD, Netflix and YouTube access, free Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, tea- and coffee- making facilities, and hairdryers. Additionally, the studios have kitchenettes which are well equipped with a bar fridge or a fridge-freezer, a microwave, and a 2-plate induction stove.
When the guest rooms are booked together as one cottage, the guests will have access to a well-equipped kitchen and a spacious dining and lounge area opening onto a sea-facing balcony. There is a deck area with seating at the entrance to the cottage with braai facilities available on request. All guests have access to a communal swimming pool.
Crooked Tree is ideally suited for self-catering holiday's during peak seasons, but is also perfect as a stop-and-go for a short trip or a business trip. The sea views from the balconies are magnificent and the bird life is amazing to watch. Vervet monkeys are almost daily visitors and the occasional woolly necked storks can be spotted in the branches of the trees.
Oceans Mall is 1km away and Gateway Theatre of Shopping is 2 km away. Durban CBD and ICC are about 17 km away. Umhlanga New Town Centre and the La Lucia Ridge office park are nearby, and the accommodation is close to both the M4 and the N2 highways making access to Durban and the rest of KZN extremely efficient.
