Cyara is a 3-bedroom, self-catering holiday home on Clarence Drive, located within the buffer zone of the Kogelberg Wilderness Biosphere along the Whale Coast Route, recognised as “officially the most beautiful drive in the world.” The property is surrounded by indigenous Fynbos vegetation and offers 180° views of the seaboard and mountains, providing guests with a tranquil environment while essential comforts and amenities are kept within easy reach. The hosts, Guy and Alta Roberts, occupy a granny flat on the premises, and guests’ privacy is carefully respected. Assistance is provided when requested.

The accommodation is spread over 2 floors, with the lower floor being accessible for handicapped guests. A single bedroom and bathroom with bath, shower, basin and separate toilet are provided on this level. On the first floor, the main bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed, while a second single bedroom and bathroom with a shower, basin, and toilet are also located on this floor. Both first-floor bedrooms open onto an enclosed balcony overlooking the ocean across the road. Bedding is provided for 4 guests, and towels are supplied for guests staying 5 nights or longer, excluding beach use.

The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and includes a 4-burner gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer with ice maker, iron and ironing board, electric kettle, 4-slice toaster, air fryer, convection cooker, mixer, and a full selection of cutlery and crockery for four guests. The living area features an eight-seater dining table and comfortable seating, while a large built-in braai, an outdoor braai, a Weber braai, and a variety of braai tools are provided for use. DStv reception with OVHD is installed, and guests are requested to bring their own HD or Explora decoder and smart card for viewing preferred channels. Uncapped Wi-Fi (1 Mbps) is available throughout the property.

Guests staying five nights or longer may entertain up to four day visitors once with prior consent from the owners. Shaded under-cover parking is provided for one vehicle. The property overlooks De Wets Bay and the surrounding coastline from Stony Point in the west to Gansbaai in the east, with Main and Silver Sands Beach in Betty’s Bay and Sandown Bay Blue Flag Beach in Kleinmond within proximity. The property is within easy reach of Cape Town, the Cape and Boland Winelands, the Overberg, and numerous attractions across the Western Cape.
