A wonderful place to visit for a large family spread over four generations. We had a great stay! The house and grounds were great (including the apartment) - even better than the pictures suggested. Comfortable beds and everything we needed. We would have loved to stay longer!

Exceptional property within an exceptional town - luxury within natural surrounds. Beautiful charming Victorian house with all amenities. Garden is as big as a soccer field with wild areas, fruit trees and little wild animals. Bedrooms are luxurious, with air conditioning, top quality linen and all but one bedroom have en suite bathrooms. The common kuier area is exceptional with comfy seating, a long table for conversational dinners and a hot tub that is perfect. Older people may struggle with the stairs and the cottage staircase has a very steep incline. The lack of guest bathroom can be uncomfortable and the WiFi is not strong (if that is important to you) - but if you need to feel spoiled, with calm and beautiful surrounds, De Hoop is highly recommendable.

Very well located and well appointed, pretty and comfortable cottage. De Hoop Cottage was very well situated for walking into town - it was not far yet the setting was spacious and tranquil. The cottage was very well appointed. The beds and linen were very comfortable and the kitchen had every appliance you could possibly need. When we arrived, the hot tub was ready for us as requested and we loved the whole experience. The stairs to the bedrooms were quite steep and the one bathroom floor a bit squeaky, but it added to the charm. We would definitely stay there again.

Rejuvenating. Secluded. Surrounded by greenery. Every appliance available, even tumble dryer, washing machine and hot tub. Two toilets and this was the cottage, not even the main house. Heated bathroom towel rails. Walking distance to town. Freshly baked bread on arrival. Only issue, creaky bathroom floorboards.
