Nice house with fireplace. We were very kindly received by Annelien, with delicious banana bread. She upgraded us to another accommodation without any extra charges. The house was very neat and clean with quality linen and we really enjoyed our stay. The fireplace in the living area was a winner, as was the free wood.

Well equipped, comfortable cottage with lots of character. Good value for money. We love houses with character and this one is something special. Many small details that make the place unique. Comfortable beds and well equipped unit. Very friendly hostess and that banana bread was delicious. I will definitely visit Die Stal again and can highly recommend it. It was a one-night stopover for us on the way to the Cape, but I would have liked to stay here for a few days to rest well.

Sutheland was on our to do list and surprised us. Annelien welcomed us kindly and made us feel at home. She informed us that there is current load shedding and she will bake us a banana sandwich as soon as the power comes back on. Later she surprised us with the most delicious banana bread, hot from the oven. I think she deserves not five stars, but more. Sutherland is definitely worth a visit and we would stay at Die Stal again anytime should we visit Sutherland. Thank you Annelien for your friendliness and hospitality.

Enjoyable, peaceful. Hostess was very helpful and friendly. Sandwich is appreciated. Simplicity very striking.
