Acceptable. Overall, it was acceptable. The room was neat, but cramped (expected as per photos and description advertised). The room's location within the Dolphin Beach Estate makes for an ideal location almost on the beach and security within the boomed estate. For guests not familiar with the setup of the estate, it should be communicated clearly that this room is not located within the Dolphin Beach Hotel but rather within the residential section of the Dolphin Beach Security Estate. Things that made the stay frustrating/disappointing: * The communal kitchen and bathroom areas feel like staff quarters as they lack some basic homey touches and decor. It actually was staff quarters before, as seen on some labeling on the building. Some suggestions include having a table or bench in the shower area to place some of your items on while showering, replacing the shower curtain with a shower door, and adding a rack in the shower to place your shampoo and soap on while showering. The basin area could do with improved lighting, hand towels on towel holders, and some furniture/decor to make the area feel cosier. There is only one toilet, which was completely fine for two people staying, but if more people were staying, this would be a problem. * Staff entered the communal areas twice a day without warning to take water and electricity meter readings. * There were cockroaches. * Security were not made aware that we were coming to stay, and we had a hard time entering the estate. * Security kept asking for a unit number for our food deliveries and Uber pickups, but we only had a room and block name. This was resolved in a few days with help from admin staff. It would be helpful if the person handing the keys over to guests would explain what to put as delivery instructions on your deliveries and provide the number to warn security of an incoming delivery initially to avoid this stressful drama.
