Duikersdrift Winelands Country Escape is a working boutique wine and olive farm in the Tulbagh Valley, just 90 minutes from Cape Town. Set against a backdrop of mountains and open countryside, it offers a relaxed setting for both romantic stays and family getaways.
The self-catering cottages combine rustic touches with clean, modern finishes, reflecting the character of the valley. Each cottage looks out onto the surrounding mountains and includes a kitchenette, smart TV, complimentary Wi-Fi, and an open-plan en-suite bathroom with a rain shower and deep bathtub. Air conditioning, a remote-controlled fan, and an outdoor fireplace ensure comfort in every season, while a battery backup system provides light during load shedding and unexpected outages.
Each unit opens onto a private patio with a braai and wood-fired hot tub - an easy, unhurried space to relax, enjoy the quiet, and watch the light change over the mountains.
Guests can pre-order wine tasting baskets, continental breakfast baskets, grazing boxes, and braai baskets designed for simple, in-cottage dining.
On the property, there is a guest pool area with pergolas and loungers, as well as a children's playground. Activities on and around the farm include picnics, wine tasting, fishing, hiking, and mountain biking.
