FAK Udolpho Rivierplaas is situated on the banks of the Vaal River, approximately 10 km outside Parys. This farm, with its beautiful natural surroundings and abundant birdlife, offers individuals, families, and groups the perfect opportunity for a relaxing countryside getaway in the Free State.
The farm offers a variety of accommodation options to suit different guest needs.
Sally Williams Guest House features 3 bedrooms furnished with double and single beds, with shared bathroom facilities. The house includes a fully equipped self-catering kitchen and a comfortable lounge area. The living area opens onto a veranda overlooking the river and includes private braai facilities.
Mooifontein Guest House is located on the riverbank and offers 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, furnished with double and single beds. The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, and guests can relax in the lounge. The house also has a private lapa with braai facilities overlooking the river.
Trek Ferreira Guest House is also situated on the riverbank and offers 3 bedrooms furnished with double and single beds, sharing a bathroom. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering, and the lounge opens onto a deck with private braai facilities overlooking the river.
Additional facilities include access to a swimming pool, while activities on the farm include fishing and hiking to explore the surroundings.
Visitors to FAK Udolpho Rivierplaas also have access to the unique Ossewakamp, which features 10 original ox wagons arranged in a traditional laager and specially adapted for accommodation. It is the largest of its kind in the area and can accommodate up to 271 guests, with a swimming pool available. Guests can enjoy this one-of-a-kind ox-wagon experience and visit the Penkop and Opstaan monuments on the property to learn more about rich Afrikaner history and heritage.
