Beautiful home close to Camdeboo National Park. What a beautiful house! Wooden floors with spacious rooms, interesting art and furniture, and an old-world vibe that we loved — the Garden Cottage is an absolute gem! As a family of seven (2 adults, 5 kids), this self-catering accommodation was well-equipped, including a braai, outdoor seating and table, as well as a small pool (which we very much appreciated on the hot days we were in Graaff-Reinet). The cottage is a 10-15 minute walk from Pick n Pay and other local convenience stores and coffee shops (Farm Fare next to Pick n Pay has delicious homemade baking!). Camdeboo National Park is a 10-minute drive — the Valley of Desolation (in the park) is a definite must-see when you’re not chilling in the Garden Cottage or enjoying the extraordinary Karoo landscape in other ways. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay — thank you for having us!

Beautiful cottage. Home away from home. The perfect halfway stop. The directions to the cottage were not very clear and we got a bit lost. There wasn't safe parking at the guesthouse, which was a bit concerning seeing we were moving and most of our home contents were in the back of our bakkie. But other than that, the place is really beautiful, clean and we had a good night's rest.
