Absolutely fabulous and peaceful. Ghost Mountain Retreat is a little-known gem in the central Drakensberg overlooking hills and valleys with a magnificent view of Cathkin and Champagne Peaks. The chalet we had on this game farm was well equipped and spotlessly clean. The swimming pool was refreshing, and having game animals roaming freely is an added bonus.

Very very good. Stay was amazingly good. Absolutely everything was better than we imagined. Felt very safe, comfortable, relaxed and enjoyed our time.

Peaceful, scenic retreat. What an unforgettable stay at Ghost Mountain Retreat! We were looking for a peaceful, secluded spot to unwind – and this place absolutely exceeded all expectations. From the breathtaking views to the beautifully styled and functional little house, everything was just perfect. Huge thanks to the warm and welcoming hosts – truly some of the best we’ve ever had! And a special shoutout to Richard for the wood supply that made our evenings around the fire extra cosy. We had an amazing hike at Monks Cowl and ended our trip stargazing under the clearest night sky – lying back and watching the Milky Way was pure magic.
