Love staying at the Green Lantern and will be back. The stay was lovely; however, I would suggest that block-out curtains be used in the unit we stayed in, as the outside security light shone through the curtains whilst we were trying to sleep.

Pleasant. Old historic building, very interesting. Lovely well-maintained gardens, with chickens running around (don't need to have an alarm clock). Enjoyed it so much that we booked for our return trip too. Restaurant food is tasty and reasonably priced.

Wonderful local charm. From the outside it looks a bit worn down, but once inside, the charm of this place takes over and we had a wonderful overnight stopover from Bloem to Drakensberg. Nostalgia, nice relaxed atmosphere, feels like home, something for everyone, clean & neat. The nostalgia and relaxed atmosphere made us feel very much at home. There is something for everyone to feel happy and content although the hotel which was established in the late 1800's and has kept many of the historical artefacts and history. Young and old enjoy the daily visit that the donkey makes to the bar. Everything was clean and tidy. This was more than just a place to stay overnight and it is a shame that so many people drive past on their way to their final destination without discovering this gem.
