Rustige, stil en pragtige natuur omgewing, wat jou vernuwe laat voel. Uitstekende wegbreek in die bos. Pragtige natuur. Verblyf absoluut fantasties.

Ontspanne. Dit is 'n plek om jou skoene uit te skop en net te lewe. Dit is vir seker 'n plek vir natuurliefhebbers. Dit is off the grid wat goeie herinneringe meegebring het.

Gorgeous, unique property. Really beautiful, unique and off the beaten track. It was a bit of a hairy drive getting up to the Mokwapa Lodge at the top of the hill - but well worth it for the lovely property/view. Luckily the campsite next door wasn't booked as it is very close.

Was okay after everything that happened. The lodge itself is beautiful and situated in a lovely bushveld setting, making it a peaceful getaway. However, there were several issues that affected our overall experience. Firstly, I would not recommend driving a normal car to the lodge. The road is very difficult to access, and a bakkie or high-clearance vehicle is essential. We had to park our car and walk up to the lodge with our luggage. Another major concern was the baboon situation. Before we left for the rugby on Saturday morning, the lodge staff member closed everything up to prevent baboons from getting inside. However, when we returned, we received a WhatsApp message informing us that baboons had entered the lodge and helped themselves to our food. They took four loaves of bread, six hot dog rolls, eggs, five bags of chips, and all the leftover food from our breakfast. It is difficult to understand how this happened if all precautions had been taken and the entry points were known. Transport arrangements were also disappointing. Because of the difficult access road, we asked the lodge staff member to take us to the rugby. He drove extremely recklessly, which made us feel unsafe. We paid R600 for transport, including collection after the game. On the return trip, the vehicle's lights were not working properly, with only the hazard lights on. He then stopped and asked us to drop him off in Thabazimbi, leaving us with the bakkie to drive ourselves back to the lodge. As a result, we only arrived back at the lodge around 9:00 pm. While the lodge itself is attractive and located in a beautiful natural setting, the access challenges, baboon incident, and transport issues significantly impacted our stay.

Dissapointing, Overpriced!!! We stayed at Kudu Lodge. We were very disappointed in our stay. We were told that the gate code would be sent to us before we arrived, and that someone would meet us at reception and show us where to go – still waiting! We actually never met anyone from the resort while we were there. The accommodation is not at all like the pictures on the website. We don’t mind “rustic”, but badly maintained, run-down and shabby is not acceptable. No bedside tables or lamps, no mosquito net, no chairs in the room, the swimming pool is in bad condition, terrible pillows, mouse droppings on the sheets, etc. Kudu Lodge is overpriced and run down!

Baie rustig en mooi natuur. Baie rustig gewees en lekker ontspan, ons was gelukkig met 'n donderbui om die blitse teen die berg te sien. Net jammer dat die wild nie te sien was nie, die bos is baie reg. Die enkel pad kan dalk 'n paar verbygang gedeeltes kry, anders gaan iemand baie ver agteruit moet ry.

Rustig. Ons het die 2 aande ongelooflik geniet. Was so mooi en lekker saam met ons 2 tieners. Kwaliteit tyd saam gehad. Area is pragtig en jy voel of jy in die bos is. Plek was lekker toegerus. Daar was swaar reen oor die 2 nagte wat ons gebly het en ongelukkig was daar 'n paar lekke in die huis, maar ons het nog steeds baie lekker gekuier. Die hoofslaapkamer se gas geyser was 'n bietjie moeilik om te werk, maar ander geysers het wel goed gewerk. Ons sal definitief weer terugkeer, want dit was vir ons as gesin 'n lekker wegbreek.

Baie rustig en privaat. Het baie lekker en rustig gekuier in die natuur tussen die berge met die mooiste voëllewe. Chalet baie primitief toegerus met alles wat jy nodig het vir 'n lekker kuier. Ek is net nie 'n voorstander van die parafien geyser nie. Uitstekende kliëntediens.

Lovely rustic stay in beautiful pristine bush. We loved the fact that one feels really far from urban areas, the bush is beautiful and pristine. We also enjoyed that the accommodation is dog-friendly. The unit does need a bit of TLC; however, it is all part of the experience. I learnt a new rather unique life skill - how to use a paraffin heated shower.
