Description
Hanati Chalets is a 38 km drive from Montana, Pretoria, on the N1 North, inside the Dinokeng Game Reserve, where the Big Five, most antelope species, and a variety of birdlife roam freely. It’s the perfect getaway for nature lovers and birdwatchers.
The self-catering chalets are set among the trees, each one private and separate from the others. All chalets are air-conditioned, and all bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. The units are well equipped so that guests only need to bring clothing, toiletries, and food.
Accommodation is offered in 6 units – 3 chalets can each accommodate 4 guests, and 3 units can each accommodate 2 guests. Each room has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet, and basin. The chalets feature a stoep with braai facilities, a well-equipped kitchen, a living area, and covered parking at the unit. For guests’ privacy, units are not serviced during their stay, and each chalet has its own dishwasher.
The lodge offers a large communal swimming pool and a games lapa, which is especially popular in the evenings. Guests can also relax around the campfire, and one of the lapas has the full DStv package, which all guests can enjoy.
A conservation fee is payable to the reserve and can be paid in advance online via the Dinokeng Reserve website. A self-drive permit is also available and is required for guests who wish to drive around and view wildlife without booking a guided game drive. At the main entrance gates, an information booklet can be purchased that includes a route map and details of all restaurants, picnic spots, shops, and attractions within the reserve.
The 4x4 route is managed by the park and can only be enjoyed as part of a guided game drive in a game-viewing vehicle.
For added security, the property is fenced with an electric fence and has a remote-controlled access gate.
