Hermanus River Farm

Description

Each campsite accommodates up to six campers and features a wooden shade structure for partial shelter, as well as braai facilities. Campers have access to the communal kitchen and ablution facilities. The sites are located alongside the Hermanus River, which has a good year-round flow and areas suitable for wading or cooling off. All sites are accessible by standard vehicles, which may be parked under the shade at the campsite. Vehicles taller than 2.5 m are not suitable.

Price Includes

Rates displayed are on a camping basis, and guests are required to bring along their own equipment.

House Rules

No loud electronic music outside.

Fires only in designated braai areas and when safe.

Camp sites 1–5: standard vehicles; max 6 guests.
Drive slowly, give way uphill, and respect site boundaries.

Eco loos & showers: use as instructed; help children if needed.
Kitchen: shared space, no open fires, candles or furniture removal.

Lagoon & stream: check conditions, supervise children, no fires or alcohol, respect wildlife.
Stick to marked walking routes; watch for cyclists.

Keep distance from cattle; do not chase or touch.
Avoid electrified fences.
Respect farm infrastructure and private property.

The farm is not responsible for theft, injury, fire, or loss of life.

Outside of camp 8-12 animals need to be completely controlled. Animals may be off-leash in the campsite 8-12 area..Open fields offer a great place for off-leash activities with relative safety; however, on a walk through the forest, around blind corners, or in any area where unexpected people may pop up, your animal must be on a lead.

Do not arrive with an animal without requesting and being given the go-ahead. This will be grounds for cancellation without refund.

Only very well-behaved animals, no animals which attempt to free roam the farm or are otherwise poorly managed, or have any antisocial tendencies towards humans, cats, dogs, cattle, or wildlife will be tolerated. No large breeds.

It is not advised that those nervous of even well-behaved dogs book these sites.

Campers have access to the communal kitchen and ablution facilities. Well-behaved animals may be allowed by arrangement only. Campsites 8-12 are spaced a bit apart from each other and offer more distance from other campers. The distance to the communal facilities is greater than at other sites with showers about 300-400m away The sites are located alongside the Hermanus River, which has a good year-round flow and areas suitable for wading or cooling off. Small, low-clearance cars will struggle to reach these sites - most vehicles will be fine if not fully loaded with low clearance, but higher clearance vehicles are recommended.
