Hidden Gem is a self-catering accommodation located on an owner-occupied property in the quiet suburb of Ruwari, Brackenfell in Cape Town. The property is well suited for large families, business travellers, international guests, sports groups, university visitors, and solo travellers. An inverter system is available on the property to ensure uninterrupted comfort during power outages.
Accommodation consists of a selection of individually styled rooms. The Diamond Honeymoon Suite features a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. The Opal and Topaz en-suite rooms each include a double bed and private bathrooms fitted with walk-in showers, toilets, and basins. The Amethyst and Ruby rooms both feature double or queen-size beds and share a full bathroom fitted with a bath, shower, toilet, and basin. Selected rooms open via sliding doors onto the patio, pool, and braai area. Each room is equipped with a TV, bar fridge, kettle, cups, fan, heater, insect repellent, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. Linen and towels are provided.
Guests have access to a shared main living area with a fully equipped kitchen featuring a gas stove, electric oven, microwave, ice machine, fridge-freezer, additional freezer, coffee machine, crockery, cutlery, and seating for six. Laundry facilities, including a dishwasher, washing machine, and tumble dryer, are also available. On-site amenities include a communal bar, ozone (O³) sauna, free Wi-Fi, a covered patio leading to a swimming pool and garden, and outdoor braai facilities next to the pool. Secure on-site parking is provided.
Hidden Gem is conveniently located within a short drive of essential amenities including SPAR, pharmacies, doctors, dentists, and Cape Gate Shopping Centre. Numerous local shops, restaurants, and wine farms along the Bottelary Road, including the Stellenbosch and Durbanville wine routes, are within 2.4 km of the property.
The property offers easy access to major Cape Town attractions such as Table Mountain, Robben Island, Rhodes Memorial, V&A Waterfront, Lion’s Head, and Boulders Beach, as well as the Stellenbosch Botanical Gardens, golf courses, universities, and hospitals. It is also popular for sporting events, including the Two Oceans Marathon, netball, karate, swimming, and international music festivals.
Guests can also enjoy nearby activities such as farm markets, hiking trails, horse riding, paintball, and 4x4 routes.
