Idwala Le Ingwe Lodge offers comfortable self-catering accommodation in a unique 12-Sleeper Holiday House, 8-Sleeper Holiday House, and three 6-Sleeper Luxury Tent Houses, perched on the Witwatersrand mountains, offering spectacular views of the valley and the Magaliesburg mountain range. The lodge is located 5.4 km from Hekpoort and 39.1 km from Hartbeespoort Dam.
The 12-Sleeper Holiday House is elegantly decorated in a Safari-chic theme and offers various decks, patios, and entertainment areas with lovely views. It comprises 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, spacious lounges, a fully equipped kitchen, 3 braai areas, and a rooftop entertainment area. The kitchen is equipped with a double fridge, chest freezer, restaurant-style gas grills, a stove, a small oven, a microwave, and a dishwasher for guests’ convenience. The entertainment area boasts a swimming pool, pool table, dartboard, and board games for enjoyment. For colder weather, there are 2 indoor fireplaces as well as an indoor braai area.
The 8-Sleeper Holiday House comprises 4 bedrooms with each its own bathroom, a spacious lounge that looks out on the Magaliesburg mountains, and a fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a double fridge, chest freezer, gas stove, big oven, and microwave. The entertainment area boasts a pool table and dartboard. There is a patio that includes a built-in braai area, a sink, and a 10-seater dining table.
The three 6-Sleeper Luxury Tents offer self-catering accommodation suited for 6 guests and comprise 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Each bedroom is furnished with twin beds that can be converted into a king-size bed. The living area also contains a double sleeper couch and the bathroom is fitted with a shower. The kitchen contains a fridge, stovetop, microwave, kettle, and toaster. The open-plan lounge and dining area leads out to a balcony with an outside seating area, looking out on the braai area and the amazing view of the Magaliesburg mountain range.
There is a variety of activities in the area for guests to enjoy, including sunset sundowner scenic cruiser drives which require booking in advance, Sable Hiking marked trial next door as well as unmarked self-guided hiking past the bush camps. Hartbeespoort Dam is 39.1 km away and offers an array of activities from tourist shopping, Harties cableways, restaurants, go-karts, snake parks, elephant sanctuary, monkey sanctuary, and more.
