'I'll be back.'. Fantastic. Maryna was absolutely amazing and responded immediately when I called during our stay. With 3 braai areas, a bar and a huge kitchen area, who can complain.

Well-equipped guest house and value for money. We had a wonderful stay in Beach Blessings for the following reasons: The house is very clean and tidy. Maryna received us very kindly and even came to watch again when we had problems with the television. We were able to watch the Springboks game. There is everything you can think of. It is very well equipped and there is plenty of cupboard space available if you were to stay there for a while. We were able to braai inside, but there is also an outdoor braai available. Even though the heat pump for the pool was out of order, the lovely pool was ready for visiting. My son was able to take his dogs with him and they were safe behind a fence.

Break-in while sleeping - owner showed no concern. We stayed at Jacobsbaai Self-catering from 27 to 30 June 2025, and unfortunately, we experienced a break-in while we were asleep inside the house. The alarm had been armed, as instructed by the owner’s representative. ERP Security later confirmed that the stoep beam was not working due to flat batteries, which is why the alarm never triggered. We were told only upon arrival that this specific house has been targeted for break-ins before. Neighbours confirmed this, adding that the house has been broken into multiple times, and it’s evident — the locks are damaged and the property is secured with small padlocks that offer very little protection. After the break-in, we received no sympathy or concern from the owner. He never asked if we were okay. When we inquired about whether there was any cover or insurance, his response was a sarcastic, "Did you Google these things now?" We were so shaken that we left a full day early, feeling completely unsafe. The worst part is that when we expressed our concerns, he was arrogant enough to tell us to go ahead and leave a review — that he doesn’t care. We lost personal belongings, including a smartwatch, clothing, and bank cards, but what stays with us is the feeling of being fully exposed, unsupported, and dismissed. The house may appear charming in photos, but it is not secure, not properly maintained, and managed with zero care for the safety or wellbeing of guests. Please think twice before booking. Your peace of mind and safety deserve better.
