Ou Opstal @ Jakhalsdans Karoo Guest House, Farmstay and Safaris is a charming self-catering house located on the scenic 13,000-hectare working Jakhalsdans Farm in Loxton. Surrounded by lush gardens and abundant birdlife, the house offers a peaceful and picturesque setting, ideal for a relaxed farm getaway.

This house can accommodate 6 guests and comprises 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The main bedroom is furnished with a double bed and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, basin, and toilet. The second bedroom is furnished with 2 single beds, while the third bedroom also has 2 single sleeper couches. They share the use of a bathroom fitted with a bath, shower, basin, and toilet. Linen and towels are provided.

The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, stove, oven, microwave, cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities, and features a centrally located dining table with chairs. It extends to the lounge furnished with comfy seating and a TV, and features a cosy fireplace.

Outside, guests have access to a lovely covered patio with outdoor seating, braai facilities, and a large lawn area where children can run around and play freely. The farm is home to a wide variety of wildlife that can be explored on foot, by bicycle, on horseback, or via guided game drives. Activities on offer include hiking, mountain biking, hunting, fishing, self-driving safaris, water sports, and bird watching.
