Description
Jakkelsroep is a private bushveld retreat located 40 km from Pretoria in a malaria-free area, offering a variety of self-catering accommodations and camping options.
Unit 1 accommodates 4 guests in 2 bedrooms, featuring a double bed in the main bedroom and 2 three-quarter beds in the second bedroom. It includes an open-plan kitchen and living area with air conditioning, a covered patio, braai facilities, a private plunge pool, and a boma.
Unit 2 also sleeps 4 guests in 2 bedrooms, with a double bed in the air-conditioned main bedroom, 2 three-quarter beds and a fan in the second bedroom. It features a fully equipped kitchen and a covered patio with a built-in braai and private swimming pool.
Luxury Tent Chalet accommodates 2 guests and includes air conditioning, an en-suite bathroom with a bath and outdoor shower, a self-catering kitchenette, private braai facilities, and a jacuzzi with a wood-fired water heating system.
Luxury Meerkat Tent sleeps 2 adults in a king-size bed with an en-suite bathroom with a shower. Two children under 12 can use the sleeper couch (guests must provide bedding). The tent has air conditioning, an outdoor kitchenette, and private braai facilities.
Camping area offers 2 shaded stands, each with power points and braai facilities, plus a shared ablution block with a shower, toilet, and basin.
On-site amenities include free WiFi, undercover parking, a communal swimming pool, a lapa, a picnic area with seating, a trampoline, and a small climbing frame. Wildlife such as impalas, nyalas, zebras, ostriches, and blesbucks can be seen on the property. Guests can enjoy birdwatching, cycling, hiking, picnics, and spa treatments on request.
The retreat is also pet-friendly.
Location: Jakkelsroep is 7 km from the Tsukulu Gate of the Dinokeng Game Reserve, 9 minutes from the Lion & Cheetah Reserve, and within 20 km of guided game drives, hiking trails, boat rides, and local restaurants.
