The Meerkat Tent, a unique and luxurious addition to Jakkelsroep, offers a fully self-catering glamping experience. Ideal for those seeking the charm of camping with added comfort, the tent accommodates 2 adults with a queen-size bed featuring high-quality linen, as well as a sleeper couch suitable for children under 12. Please note that guests must bring their own linen for the sleeper couch. The bathroom is fitted with a shower and toilet. Guests have access to a separate kitchen area that includes a fridge, two-plate stove, crockery, and a comfortable dining area with a table and chairs. Braai facilities are provided for outdoor cooking. Located in the heart of the bushveld, the tent offers access to a communal swimming pool and a children’s play area. The open-plan kitchen area under a thatched roof is fully equipped with a fridge and freezer, a two-plate stove, crockery, and a dining area with a comfortable table and chairs. Additional facilities include braai areas, a swimming pool, and a children’s play area with a trampoline, climbing frame, and sandpit, all overlooking the waterhole and beautiful bushveld scenery. Covered parking is available.

The luxury tent-chalet accommodates 2 guests and is situated in the bush, offering beautiful views of the veld. The tent has air conditioning and is furnished with a queen-size bed. The en-suite bathroom is equipped with a basin, a lovely bathtub, and a toilet, as well as an outdoor shower. The kitchenette is equipped with a fridge-freezer, stove, oven, microwave, basic cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. There is also a dining table with chairs and complimentary WiFi. Private braai (barbecue) facilities. Private hot bath jacuzzi with no jets, only a warm spring. The lapa and pool facilities, as well as Boma, are shared with other campers. Out of Africa Tent is our newest addition that guests can book to relax in luxury for a weekend, or even take a few days off to simply come and be in the bush. There are two bedrooms: the main bedroom has a queen-size bed, and the second bedroom has two three-quarter beds. Both are provided with quality linen and bath towels. There is one full bathroom. The open-plan living area features a modern kitchen area, a comfortable patio with braai facilities, a private hot-water tub, and free Wi-Fi. This tented dwelling is unique in its kind and should certainly form part of anyone’s bucket list.
