Description

Karibu River Retreat and Game Lodge is located in a piece of bushveld paradise on both sides of the Elands River, situated close to Marble Hall, and offers convenient accommodation for business travellers, contractors, holidaymakers and overnight guests. Karibu River Retreat is 15 km from Siyabuswa where the University of Mpumalanga campus is located.

The River Retreat on the one side of the rivier, offers 5 tastefully furnished units which sleep 18 guests in total. All of the units have private bathrooms, satellite TV's, bar fridges, microwaves, tea- and coffee making facilities, toiletries, hair dryers and ceiling fans. The two-bedroom budget unit shares a bathroom and has a spacious open-plan kitchen and living area. The River Retreat can be booked as a whole for guests wanting to enjoy a private function with family and friends.

The pool, boma, Lapa and indoor braai facilities are at guests' disposal. Guests are also welcome to braai their own meat on a campfire.

Karibu River Retreat has WiFi and an inverter for load shedding.

On the other side of the Elands River, on a game farm, the lodge also offers 4 self-catering chalets that are positioned to see the water whole which game often visits. Each chalet has a well-equipped kitchen with a fridge, microwave, gas stove and the necessary utensils. Each chalet also has private braai facilities and a patio, as well as ceiling fans and gas geysers. There is currently no WiFi or a backup power system here. The converter only supplies power to the borehole and pressure pump for water supply.

Guests can take a walk, go mountain biking or game viewing. There are more than 50 bird species on the farm as well as 3 fishing dams.
