Breakage Deposit

A refundable breakage deposit of R1 500 is payable directly to the property.

House Rules

Guests are requested to park their vehicle in the driveway, approximately one to two car lengths from the road, before activating or deactivating the alarm system to avoid triggering the outdoor beams.

Vehicles must be parked only in designated parking areas. Parking in the street is not permitted.

The alarm remote operates as follows:
White button: Activate or deactivate the alarm.
Red button: Panic button linked directly to the i-Secure Security Control Room.

Please do not use the panic button for snake removal. For snake-related assistance, guests should contact the relevant emergency numbers provided by the property.

When activated, the alarm will emit one beep, and the blue indicator light beneath the roof eave at the front of the property will illuminate. Two beeps and the blue light switching off indicate that the alarm has been deactivated.

Guests are kindly requested to ensure that all doors and windows are locked before leaving the property or retiring for the evening and to reactivate the alarm system thereafter.

For privacy purposes, an outdoor security camera is positioned on the patio. Guests may switch the camera off at the patio power socket once they have arrived and should ensure it is switched back on before departure.

Guests enter and use the property entirely at their own risk. The owners, agents, and employees accept no liability for loss, theft, damage, injury, or any other claims arising during a guest's stay.

Guests are advised to ensure that valuable items such as cash, jewellery, cameras, laptops, vehicles, and other personal belongings are adequately insured, as the property accepts no responsibility for loss or damage.

Use of the swimming pool and surrounding areas is entirely at guests' own risk. No lifesaving facilities are provided, and the pool area is not enclosed. Children must be supervised at all times.

Marloth Park is a natural wildlife area and guests should remain vigilant at all times. Dangerous wildlife, including venomous snakes, may be encountered. Doors and windows should remain closed when not in use, and guests should exercise caution when outdoors.

Baboons are also common in the area. Guests are requested to keep all doors and windows closed and secured whenever the property is unattended.

Walking outside is not permitted between sunset and sunrise.

The property accommodates a maximum of four guests, including children.

Parties, events, and gatherings are not permitted. Only registered guests included in the booking may occupy the property.

The main guest is responsible for ensuring that all occupants comply with the house rules and Marloth Park regulations.

Smoking, including cigarettes, e-cigarettes, vapes, and hubbly-bubbly pipes, is strictly prohibited inside the property.

Guests are requested to wash all dishes before departure and dispose of refuse responsibly. Refuse bags should not be left outside, and guests are responsible for taking rubbish to the designated municipal refuse site on Olifant Drive.

Please do not remove any keys that are permanently kept within the property. Sliding doors are fitted with two locking systems, and guests should familiarise themselves with both.

Any damages, breakages, malfunctions, or maintenance concerns should be reported as soon as possible, preferably before departure.

Guests are encouraged to observe wildlife from a safe distance and should never feed or attempt to interact with wild animals.

Children must be supervised at all times.

For safety reasons:

No diving, jumping, or running around the pool area.
Glass containers are not permitted near the pool.
Guests should bring their own swimming towels, as bathroom towels may not be used at the pool.
Outdoor furniture should be returned to its original position after use.
Personal belongings should not be left outside overnight.

Open flames are not permitted in or around the property. Guests should familiarise themselves with the location of the fire extinguisher and ensure all braais are properly extinguished after use.

Plants, trees, and flowers should not be disturbed or removed.

Guests are kindly requested to respect neighbours, observe quiet hours, and help preserve the natural environment.

Guests are requested to use water, electricity, gas, air conditioning, and appliances responsibly.

Please note that no compensation will be provided for temporary interruptions to electricity, water, gas, Wi-Fi, telephone, or other utility services.

The property operates on a prepaid electricity system. Air-conditioning usage is allocated at 35 prepaid units per day, calculated according to the length of the stay and displayed on the meter at check-in. Should additional units be required, guests will be responsible for purchasing top-ups.

In the event of a power outage, guests should contact the property before attempting to operate or reset the electrical distribution board.

The property uses an eco-friendly septic tank system. Wet wipes, nappies, sanitary products, and other hygiene items must not be flushed down the toilets.

One refuse bag is provided per day. Guests are responsible for disposing of refuse at the designated refuse site on Olifant Drive.
