Description
Kazondwe Camp and Lodge is situated in Ngonga in Namibia and offers accommodation in a small and unique lodge with attention to detail.
Accommodation is offered in a campsite, tented accommodation with en-suite bathrooms, and 2 studios with air-conditioning and en-suite bathrooms. The tented accommodation and studio is available on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis and the second studio is available on a self-catering basis; meals can be arranged by prior arrangement.
There are 5 established campsites under large trees with interesting bird life. The campsite offers private ablution and washing-up facilities, a covered picnic area, a braai pit, and a wood-fired donkey hot water system for hot water and power. A bush pub can be used by the campers and beer on tap is arranged for large groups.
The tented accommodation comprises 2 single beds in each, and a small bathroom with a toilet, basin and shower. A deck in front of the tent provides seating space, and the tents are secluded by reed walls for privacy.
One of the studios is a family studio suitable for 2 adults and 2 children. It has an en-suite bathroom with a shower, as well as a full kitchen and braai facilities. The second studio has 2 single beds and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, as well as a private verandah and seating area.
A short walk up the dune will take you to the main lapa, which has a beautiful view over the Kwando floodplains; guests can watch the hippos in the hippo pool below. The camp is not fenced off and hippos tend to roam the lawns. Elephants and other wildlife also wander through the camp.
The lodge offers activities such as boat cruises and fishing trips.
