Kiewietjie Cottages is situated in the peaceful coastal town of Sedgefield, perfectly nestled between Wilderness and Knysna along the renowned Garden Route in the Western Cape. The property is conveniently located just 500 metres from the beach, a shopping centre, and restaurants.
The property offers three unique self-catering units, ideal for a relaxing getaway:
Unit 1 (Sleeps 2–5 Guests):
This unit features 2 bedrooms furnished with 1 double bed and 2 single beds, as well as a sleeper couch in the living area suitable for 1 child. The bathroom has a shower-over-bath, with a separate toilet. The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, fridge-freezer, microwave, and toaster. Additional amenities include a TV with a TV box, free Wi-Fi, a private patio with braai facilities, and secure off-street parking. A garage is available on request for small vehicles or bakkies.
Unit 2 (Sleeps 2–5 Guests):
This unit offers 2 bedrooms with 1 double bed and 2 single beds, plus a sleeper couch for 1 child in the living area. It has a bathroom and a separate toilet. The kitchen includes a gas stove, electric frying pan, fridge-freezer, and microwave. Guests can enjoy a TV with Netflix and YouTube, complimentary Wi-Fi, and outdoor braai facilities.
Unit 3 (Open-Plan, Sleeps 2–4 Guests):
This open-plan unit features a sleeping area with a double bed, separated by a curtain, and a bunk bed for children located on the enclosed patio. The bathroom is fitted with a shower. The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, electric frying pan, microwave, and fridge-freezer. The unit also offers a TV with a TV box, free Wi-Fi, an outdoor braai area, and covered parking.
Guest Information:
Fresh linen is provided; however, guests are kindly requested to bring their own towels.
Backup power ensures that the lights, TVs, and Wi-Fi remain operational during load shedding or power outages. All units are also equipped with gas cooking facilities.
The Area:
Sedgefield is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, offering an abundance of natural beauty and activities. Nearby Groenvlei Lake, the only freshwater lake in the area, is well known for its excellent bass fishing. The region is rich in indigenous fynbos, scenic lake shores, and beautiful forest hiking trails, making it an ideal destination for nature lovers seeking relaxation and adventure alike.
