House Rules
The sites are not electrified.
Guests must bring dustbin bags to remove their rubbish.
Guests must bring their own toilet paper.
Fires may only be made in designated fireplaces; no fires are allowed in the veld.
Fauna and flora must not be damaged or removed from the area.
Hunting is strictly prohibited.
No weapons may be discharged on the property.
Domestic animals are not allowed.
Terms, Conditions and Indemnity.
By entering the property Kromrivier Farm, you are agreeing, for yourself and on behalf of the members in your group, to the following:
General Indemnity
While every care has been taken by Kromrivier Farm to ensure the safety of our guests and their possessions
during their stay, the owners, managers and employees do not accept any liability in the event that any loss,
injury, accident or damage to persons or property is experienced by our guests.
Cancellation Policy
For all Cottages, 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking, with the remainder being settled 7 days
prior to arrival. Full refund of deposit for cancellations more than 30 days prior to arrival, 50% refund for
cancellations more than 14 days prior to arrival. Payment is not refundable if cancellation is made less than
7 days before date of arrival.
For the campsite, 100% of the total amount must be paid to confirm your booking. Full refund for
cancellations more than 14 days prior to arrival, 50% refund for cancellations more than 7 days prior to
arrival. Payment is not refundable if cancellation is made less than 7 days before date of arrival. In
December and January no refund if cancellation is less than 14 days prior to arrival.
Valuables
Kromrivier Farm, the owners, managers, and workers do not accept any liability for loss or damage to any
valuables belonging to guests. The safety of all personal valuables is the sole responsibility of the guests.
Outdoor activities
Any guests making use of outdoor activities, including hiking, cycling, swimming in the rivers or dams and
4×4’ing, do so entirely at their own risk. All guests therefore indemnify Kromrivier Farm, the owners,
managers, and workers, in full. Guest shall have no claim of whatsoever nature against Kromrivier Farm, the
owners, managers, and workers, including claims for any form of injury, sickness, bodily harm, death and/or
loss or damage of property which could rise from the use of these activities.
Wildlife areas
Guests acknowledge and understand the real hazards and risks associated with wildlife areas, including
snakes, spiders and the possibility of wild animals. All guests therefore indemnify Kromrivier Farm, the
owners, managers, and workers, in full, shall injury, sickness, bodily harm and/or death which could rise
from the unforeseen interaction with such wildlife.
Minors
Minors are the sole responsibility of the parents, guardians, or the persons in whose care they are in while
staying at Kromrivier Farm or while using its facilities. Children under the age of 16 may not participate in
any outdoor or water- based activity without the supervision of an adult (older than 18 years old).
Smoking
For the comfort of our guests, Kromrivier Farm is a strictly non-smoking accommodation establishment
except for outside designated guest areas. Under no circumstances will there be smoking in the mountain,
along the hiking routes or 4×4 routes.
Pets
Campsite – We regret that all pets are strictly not permitted at the Campsites. We reserve the right to
remove any guest who brings pets. Kromrivier Farm, the owners, managers, and workers do not accept any
liability for said animals if they are on the premises or surrounds. The guests are fully responsible for any
damage to the property or livestock incurred by said animal/pet.
Oak Lodge, Trout Cottage and Morado – if arrangement has been made for a pet to come along, Kromrivier
Farm, the owners, managers, and workers do not accept any liability for said animals when they are on the
premises or surrounds. The guests are fully responsible for any damage to the property or livestock incurred
by said animal/pet.
Noise Policy
We regret that all electronic music and percussion instruments of any kind are banned. Loud noise does not
fit into the atmosphere of peace and tranquility. We ask that campers please respect fellow campers and
cottage guests. There is a LOW NOISE POLICY from 10pm around the campsite. We reserve the right to
remove any campers who act inappropriately or do not follow our noise guidelines.
Firearms
For the safety of all concerned, firearms are not permitted to be kept on the premises.
Fruit
The fruit on Kromrivier Farm are periodically sprayed with pest controlling chemicals. Do not pick and eat
before asking if the withholding period of the chemical has passed.
Loss or damage to Kromrivier Farm
Should Kromrivier Farm suffer any loss or damage as a result of an act or omission by a guest, the guest,
visitor or visitor of a guest, will remain liable for full reimbursement of such loss or damage incurred and
will be billed accordingly.
Right of Admission Reserved
Kromrivier Farm at all times reserves the full right of admission and accepts no liability for any loss or
damage experienced by guests that may result from the legal and reasonable exercising of such rights.
Arrival and Departure
Arrival for the campsites, Oak Lodge, Trout Cottage and Morado is between 14:00 – 20:00. The
accommodations should be vacated by 10:00 on the day of departure.
Social Media
If you tag Kromrivier Farm (Kromrivier Farm or @kromrivierfarm or /kromrivierfarm) in any material
across any platform you give us the right to use the content for marketing purposes, without compensation,
unless otherwise stated.
