Description

Baviaanskloof Laaste Kamp offers rustic bush camping and a unique glamping experience, located approximately 1 km from the western gate of the Baviaanskloof Nature Reserve, a recognised World Heritage Site. Situated along a scenic 97 km gravel route from Uniondale or Willowmore, the camp provides a peaceful and remote setting, ideal as a stopover or a base for exploring the final stretch of the reserve.

Accommodation consists of rustic campsites and a compact A-frame glamping unit, all set within an environmentally sensitive and secluded wilderness area. The glamping unit is equipped with a low-wattage solar power system suitable for LED lighting, charging phones, and small devices, offering a simple off-grid experience.

Shared ablution facilities include 2 solar-powered showers, best enjoyed in the afternoon when heated by the sun, as well as 2 flush toilets and basins. The layout is designed to complement the natural surroundings while providing essential comforts.

Guests have access to designated braai areas, a small farm dam for cooling off, and a rock bonfire pit. Shaded areas with patches of green grass offer a comfortable space to relax, creating a tranquil setting within the rugged beauty of the Baviaanskloof wilderness.
