Description
Langenhoven Cottage is a charming holiday home situated in the coastal village of Hondeklipbaai. The cottage is ideal for a family seeking a peaceful seaside retreat away from the city and is located only 500 m from the beach.
The house can accommodate up to 8 guests, comprising 6 adults and 2 children, and features 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The first bedroom is furnished with 2 single beds. The second bedroom contains a king-size bed and a single bed. The third bedroom is furnished with a triple bunk bed, consisting of a double bed at the bottom and a single bed on top; the upper bunk is not suitable for adults. The first bathroom is fitted with a bath and shower, while the second bathroom is fitted with a shower only.
The kitchen is equipped with a small oven, three-plate stove, microwave, air fryer, and a separate scullery area with a fridge and freezer. Tea towels, dishwashing liquid, and toilet paper are provided. The braai grid is stored in the scullery.
The covered patio features a braai area and a dining table with seating for 8 guests. An additional built-in braai is also available.
Guests are requested to bring their own drinking water and supplies, and to stock up in Garies, Vredendal, or Springbok before travelling to Hondeklipbaai. The village has 3 restaurants and 2 local shops selling basic essentials; however, there are no shopping centres.
Please note that Hondeklipbaai may experience occasional water shortages during the year. During these periods, water is strictly for household use only. The house is fitted with a water tank to supply water during such times. As with many areas in South Africa, occasional power outages may occur; guests are advised to bring torches if required. Please note that the property does not have a gas stove.
