Unit Rules for Leisure Views: A warm welcome to your home away from home!

We’re really pleased you’ve chosen to stay with us. These few simple house rules are here to help make sure everyone enjoys a comfortable, relaxed and respectful stay — just the way we’d like to be treated ourselves. They’re straightforward and fair, and we’re sure you’ll find them easy to follow. We’re here to help if you need anything at all, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

1. Maximum Occupancy & Visitors
Maximum number of people allowed in the unit (including overnight guests):
2-bedroom units: 6 people
This limit includes adults and children. Overcrowding is not allowed and may result in a fine for the owner (which we will pass on to you).
Day visitors are included in the maximum number. If you plan to have more people, you must get written permission in advance from the Body Corporate (via the manager or office).

2. Parking
Park only in your allocated carport or the demarcated open parking spaces assigned to the unit.
Do not park along the roads, on grass, or in other people's spaces (this blocks traffic and is not permitted).
Additional or visitor vehicles: Use the designated visitor parking bays. If full, park in the area behind the Melkbos units.
Caravans and boats must be parked in the designated area behind the Melkbos units.
No parking in front of fire-fighting equipment.


3. Security & Access
Security is everyone's responsibility. Report any suspicious persons to the security guard or manager immediately.
Do not let unauthorised people into the estate (e.g., do not open gates for strangers or lend access discs/remotes).
Visitors/contractors must remain at your unit and not wander around common areas.
Follow all entrance gate procedures — the security guard will check identification.

4. Swimming Pool, Play Park & Other Facilities
These facilities are for residents and tenants only. Visitors may only use them if accompanied at all times by at least one tenant from Ilala Cabanas.
Use is at your own risk.
Keep toilet facilities clean.
Follow all noticeboard rules.
No braai/parties in the pool or playground area without prior permission from the manager.
No glass containers (bottles, bowls, etc.) in the pool area or squash court.
No alcohol or glass items inside the pool.
Gas braais/free-standing braais are not allowed in the pool area (use the built-in facilities near the change rooms and share them).
Gas braais/open fires may only be used near your unit (where fire-fighting equipment is available).
No open fires anywhere else on the estate (high risk of veld fires).
Supervise children at all times — they must not damage property or disturb staff/equipment (e.g., pool pump).
Report any damage or defects to the manager immediately.

5. Noise & Quiet Times
Respect other residents — keep noise low at all times (music, voices, etc.).
No loud music, parties, or disturbing behaviour day or night.

6. Laundry
Hang laundry only on the provided lines in the washing line area (Exclusive Use Area for your unit).
Do not hang laundry over walls, on fences, or anywhere else visible.

7. Refuse & Cleanliness
Put household rubbish in your unit's bin (wrapped hygienically and dry; no liquids in cans).
Broken glass must be wrapped in newspaper/newspaper layers.
Do not leave rubbish on common property.
No cleaning of fish/shellfish on common areas (do it in your unit and wrap remains in plastic).
Garbage removal follows the manager's schedule — use only the provided black bag per collection day.

8. Other Important Rules
No pets allowed (except guide dogs for the blind by law).
Do not feed birds or monkeys (this makes them dangerous).
No business activities or trade in the unit.
No signs, notices, or advertisements visible from outside.
No fireworks, BB guns, or air rifles.
Bicycles/skateboards/toys must not be left on common property and are not allowed in pool area.
Drive slowly (max 20 km/h) and follow all road rules — no reckless driving.
No storage of more than 5 litres of flammable liquids.
