Little Canaan Retreat offers peaceful and picturesque off-the-grid self-catering accommodation on a 46-hectare working sheep farm in the Klein Karoo area, approximately 12 km outside the town of Oudtshoorn.
Accommodation is offered in 2 self-catering cottages, namely Spekboom and Gwarriebos. Spekboom is a 1-bedroom cottage that can accommodate up to 2 adults and 2 small children, and Gwarriebos is a 2-bedroom cottage that can accommodate up to 4 adults and 1 child. Each cottage has an open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge area. The kitchens are well-equipped with a gas hob, fridge with a small freezer, microwave and all necessary utensils. Power is supplied via solar. Each cottage has its own private verandah with a built-in braai.
Covered parking is available right next to each cottage.
On the farm, guests are free to go for walks, cycle up the strenuous hill or on the extensive gravel roads to your heart's desire, or just relax and watch the various bird species, leopard tortoises and wild rabbits roam from the luxury of the cottage. With 180-degree views of the Swartberg mountains in front and 180-degree views of the Rooiheuwel rolling hills at the back, it doesn't get better than this.
