Very grateful and satisfied. Excellent stay at Lodge Star of Africa No. 61 in Jagersfontein! . We recently stayed at Lodge Star of Africa No. 61 in Jagersfontein and it was a truly pleasant experience. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by Sandy, who was incredibly friendly and helpful – she arranged everything perfectly and made us feel at home straight away. The lodge has been neatly renovated and feels brand new, with modern rooms that are well equipped, a veranda with a small mountain view, and a peaceful garden to relax in. Everything is clean and well maintained, which really makes you relax after a long drive. The breakfast was absolutely excellent – fresh, deliciously prepared and with a good variety, including fruit and juice. It gave the perfect start to the day. Jagersfontein itself is a very friendly farming town with warm-hearted people. An absolute must is to visit the local golf club – grab something to eat or drink there and chat with the locals. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and you learn a lot about the history of the area. I highly recommend Lodge Star of Africa No. 61 to anyone looking for a peaceful, friendly stop in the Free State. It was a highlight of our trip, along with the nature is breathtaking. Unsatisfactory. No air conditioning, toilet next to bed. House under restoration, yard full of dog poop. No fan to cool down with. Limited breakfast.
