Lumley's Place is a first generation family-owned guest house situated in Johannesdal, Pniël, Our village is culturally and historically rich and was founded by freed slaves and people of Khoi descent, Pniël Congregational Church building dates back from 1843. Lumley's Place is in the heart of the Cape Winelands and is close to Boschendal, Tokara, Bartinney, Solms Delta and many more award-winning wine farms. Breakfast is served and prepared by Benita and staff daily.
Accommodation is offered in 4 comfortable guest rooms, each with their own unique decor. Each room has its own en-suite facilities, and either a smart TV or Open-view option. All bedrooms are air conditioned, has a ceiling light fan , tea- and coffee-making facilities, a hairdryer and a small safe.
Guests can enjoy the spectacular view of the Simonsberg mountain range from the breakfast patio, or sip tea or glass of local wines while facing the Groot Drakenstein-, Franschhoek- and Jonkershoek mountains.
Relax in the communal guest lounge, either upper floor or ground floor or take a dip in the seasonal outdoor swimming pool or soak up the sun on one of the sun loungers. Wi-Fi internet access is available.
Lumley's Place is 10 minutes away from Stellenbosch University, 19 minutes drive from Franschhoek and 22 minutes away from Paarl, Boschendal a mere 3km and Johannesdal1207 a mere walk across the road.
