Price Includes

Rates displayed are on a self-catering basis and include two 3-hour game drives each day (morning and late afternoon), 2 housekeepers and 2 ground keepers to assist guests in camp tasks, and 1 bag of firewood in the evenings to start the fire and set the ambience.

House Rules

Machaton is a family-friendly camp and does allow children on the game drive.
The game drive vehicle can only accommodate 10 guests, children included.
The rate on the website is for up to 8 guests.
Two extra guests can be accommodated on request at an extra cost.
Firewood and ice need to be supplied by guests. If guests do not want to travel with the baggage, they are welcome to order from La Babamba/ Spar or Pick n Pay in Hoedspruit, that delivers to the camp. Deliveries will be kept for the guests if made prior to arrival. If a delivery will be made, Machaton must be informed prior.
A Timbavati Conservation Fee of R250 per person per day will need to be paid (2025 rates).
Bookings can also be made to include a chef (extra fees will apply).
