A Mindfulness Retreat & Warm Coastal Guesthouse with Two Friendly Huskies
Welcome to our tranquil mindfulness retreat centre and guesthouse – a space designed for peace, rest, and mindful living. This is our private home, lovingly shared with guests who appreciate a calm, respectful environment. We ask that you treat it with the same love and care as we do.
The guesthouse is a homely, soulful space where comfort, nature, and hospitality meet. Staff are only on site during check-in and check-out, but gardeners or maids can be arranged during your stay at an additional cost. Children under 3 stay free.
The property is home to two gentle, loving rescue huskies who roam freely. For their safety, the inner driveway gate remains under our control, and guests receive a remote for the main street gate. The layout of the guesthouse is designed around the needs of both guests and huskies, ensuring harmony for all.
Optional extras include continental breakfast, a gas fireplace, tennis and table tennis equipment, catering, and cooking lessons, all by prior arrangement.
Our home offers a space where you can reconnect with yourself, enjoy nature, and share the company of two happy huskies in a calm, secure environment. additional costs.
COMPULSORY ADDITIONAL FEES:
(NB PLS ONLY BOOK IF YOU ARE COMFORTABLE WITH THESE EXTRA COSTS.) There is a prepaid electricity meter on site. NB: We depend on city municipal power & water. There is no back up / alternative power or water supply.
R350 per night minimum is yr small electricity contribution (R450 in 2026).
LONG TERM STAYS more than more than 6 days: Compulsory maid & gardener one day per week R320 per day, each (R350 in 2026). Also can arrange on site as needed.
CHECK IN: We are flexible early check-in IF no prior guests are in. (NB Buy If its a SAME DAY CHECK-OUT: i.e. group leaves same day as you arrive then its STRICTLY after 4pm. Staff will also be cleaning till 6pm. )
CHECK-OUT: Strictly 9am. Note we dont offer late check-out.
11TH GUEST: On request we may allow an extra guest overnight. A single bed may be brought in at charge. Extra Guest Fee R400pp pn - payable direct to Owner after booking. (Electricity fee goes up R100 pn per extra guest over 10 people). Only applies 2 or more nights. Any further extra guests, if approved, shared beds with rest of the group - they still pay the extra guest fee direct to Owner.(2026 rates: R500pp pn extra guest + R150 pp electricity)
PAYMENT METHODS: For deposit & extra fees. To be paid after airbnb payment. No credit card machine on site. Preferred: bank transfer to clear into bank account BEFORE check in.
