Rates are displayed on a self-catering basis. Optional services are available on request, including a daily maid service and a daily gardener at an additional cost. The tennis court floodlights may be used by prior arrangement at an additional fee. Gas heaters are also available on request, and usage is charged separately per gas cylinder.
Please note that a compulsory electricity contribution applies per night and is payable directly to the owner. This covers reasonable household electricity usage. The property does not have backup power or a generator and relies solely on the municipal electricity supply.
Breakage Deposit
A refundable breakage deposit of R1000 is payable directly to the property.
House Rules
Standard check-in is from 16:00, and check-out is by 09:00. The tumble dryer and gas stove are not in use and must not be tampered with. Electricity is prepaid, and guests are asked to switch off lights and appliances when not in use to avoid running down the meter.
Braais are only allowed on the brick path near the tennis courts. No fires or braais are permitted on the terrace or lawn. The street gate closes automatically after one minute for security purposes, and guests must use their remotes to ensure the gate does not close on vehicles. No hooting is allowed.
The dogs on the property are friendly,y but should not be given sweets. Please keep all doors closed to prevent them from entering the house or soiling the bedding. Any bedding that becomes soiled must be washed by the guest. Food should not be left on the terrace, and rubbish must be placed in the large council bins at the end of the driveway.
Guests are expected to keep noise levels low, particularly near the front yard and pool suite. No parties, events, speakers, or sound systems are allowed without prior approval. Please always lock the house when going out and use your remote to close the gate behind you. The pool is 1.9 metres deep and has no safety net, so children and non-swimmers must be supervised at all times.
Smoking, hubbly, weed, incense, oils, and glitter are strictly prohibited inside the house. Furniture on the terrace must not be moved without permission. The dining table is heavy and may be damaged if moved.
The suburb of Kelvin has two boom gates. The Northway gate closes around 19:00, while the Southway gate at the Engen garage remains open 24 hours. For Wi-Fi, use the "Cuddy" network in the main house or "Sandia TP Link" in the pool suite. The password for both networks is kylarsen. Guests are kindly asked to refer to these notes and the house manual before contacting the host.
