Gem of the Eastern Free State! Amazing camping and hiking experience! The camp facilities are spacious, neat, clean and well kept! The ablution facilities are clean and large, with ample hot showers and a bath. They even provide handwash soap and surface cleaners in the bathrooms. The hiking trails are well maintained and clearly marked. You will not find many places more beautiful than Meiringskloof! The numerous streams, lush vegetation, large cliffs, caves and rock art make hiking a very pleasurable experience! We even did the longer, more challenging hike with our children, and it is doable for people with reasonable fitness levels! We will definitely be back!

Die oos Vrystaat is besonder mooi hierdie jaar na al die reën. Alles is lowergroen, mens sien blomme en vrugte orals, en hier is die mooiste mooiste wolke en sonsondergange!

An absolute gem. We absolutely loved our stay. The camp ground K22 was lovely and private. The hiking trails and view were spectacular, a beautiful place. The cleanliness in terms of site and ablution blocks was very good, a 5 star, modern and clean, the best I have seen. The only reason I gave a 4 was that the pool needs a good clean. A lot of algae/slime on the pool walls (we still swam and it was refreshing). The staff were friendly and the service was great. We will definitely be back. We loved it.

Pragtige plek, skoon, stil, rustigheid van die natuur. Baie lekker gebly, sal beslis aanbeveel. Kan stap in die natuur en daarna heerlik afkoel by die swembad.

Meiringskloof is well located to explore the eastern Free State and Lesotho from, but on a Monday many restaurants in Fouriesburg and Clarens are closed after the busy weekend, which probably is a bit inconvenient. I am glad you enjoyed the hiking trails.

Clean, well maintained, no problems, safe. Had a great stay, the staff is amazing and friendly. The location is a hidden gem that you can't spot with the eye. The place is very quiet and has amazing hiking trails that are not difficult if you are not a hiker.

Always good to hear our staff are friendly and helpful. Some of the hikes are quite easy and short, some have more steps and are quite steep, but all are fine for people with reasonable fitness and mobility.
