House Rules
Please note that due to recent flooding in the area, access to the lodge is only possible with a high-clearance or 4x4 vehicle. Standard or smaller cars may not be able to reach the property.
The route includes approximately 62 km of dirt road, with some rocky sections that require careful driving. During the peak rainy season (November to January), a 4x4 vehicle is essential, as the roads can become muddy and challenging.
All pets must be approved by management prior to arrival. If no prior arrangement has been made at the time of your reservation confirmation or before your arrival, we will unfortunately be unable to accommodate your booking.
Guests can enjoy a variety of personalised services to enhance their stay, including private chef services, transport, and spa treatments. Please note: All services require prebooking and are subject to availability.
Check-in and Check-out Times: Check-in is available from 14:00 to 19:00. Please note that late check-ins are subject to an additional fee per hour. We highly recommend arriving during the day, as the roads can be a little bit tricky during the evening if you haven't travelled on our roads before.
Check-out 10:00. Late check-outs from 10:00 to 15:00 will incur a half-day rate, while check-outs after 15:00 will be charged a full night rate. Late check-outs are subject to the availability of the lodge, so please make arrangements directly with the property manager.
Your booking has the exclusive use of the lodge on a self-catering basis. We provide kitchen facilities, braai facilities, ice, and wood for your convenience.
The nearest town, Vaalwater or Lephale, is approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes away from the lodge. Please note that there are no restaurants or shops available on the reserve. Therefore, we recommend that you purchase the necessary supplies while passing through town.
Please note that self-drives on the reserve are not permitted. You are more than welcome to walk on the reserve on the recommended routes. To enhance your experience, we offer guided game drives and bushman artwork walks, priced upon request, subject to availability. If you’re interested in booking any activities, please let us know.
