Description

Monks Holiday Chalets and Caravan Park is situated on the edge of the Knysna Lagoon, within close proximity to the centre of town. Monks offers a large grassed caravan and camping area, chalets and cabins, as well as fishing and boating on the lagoon.

The chalets are self-contained with separate bathrooms, toilets and kitchenettes. Each chalet is equipped with cutlery and crockery, kitchen utensils, a gas stove, a fridge, a kettle, a TV, a toaster, and bedding. The large chalets have 3 separate bedrooms, along with the same equipment and facilities. Linen is provided; guests are required to bring their own towels.

There are 22 camps sites all with electricity and clean ablutions. Each caravan contains a fridge, a gas stove, cutlery, and kitchen utensils. Both ablution blocks serve the caravans, although some caravans do have their own private bathroom and toilet. Guests are required to bring their own bedding and towels for camping.

Guests can take a dip in the swimming pool, or relax on the grassy lawn while soaking up the sun. Apart from boating and fishing on the lagoon, guests can also enjoy walkways along the lagoon. Shops, public telephones, and service stations can be found nearby.
