Peaceful bush getaway with wildlife on your doorstep. We stayed at Mopani Villa in Marloth Park for a week and had a very pleasant experience overall. The location is excellent – close to the Kruger National Park and perfect for a peaceful getaway. The surroundings are quiet and you really get the feeling that you are away from it all. The house itself is spacious and well-appointed for a family or group of friends. The bedrooms and living areas are comfortable, and the veranda with the splash pool and braai facilities makes it ideal for relaxing outside. One of the highlights was definitely the wildlife that came to visit regularly – from zebras and kudus to the nagapies that came to visit in the evenings. There were a few minor shortcomings, however. The house was not completely clean when we arrived, and the dishwasher was out of order. This did not significantly affect our stay, but is something that could be addressed. The roads in Marloth Park have suffered a lot of damage after the rain, so one needs to drive carefully and slowly. That said, it also adds to the remote and natural feel of the area. All in all, it was a peaceful and enjoyable stay, and Mopani Villa offers good value for a nature experience with lots of wildlife right on your doorstep.
