House Rules

There is a 5 km gravel road to Mount Everest Guest Farm's main gate and more dirt roads through the farm.

Pets are allowed by prior arrangement only.

Smoking is prohibited indoors, and a fine will be charged for smoking in the chalets. No cigarette butts or any rubbish may be thrown away on the farm. Ashtrays and bins are provided at each chalet.
Fires must be made only in the designated braai area and only if the weather (wind) permits. The wind is generated on Mount Everest and then exported to the Cape.
Due to high wind speed, please do not leave towels, crockery, or anything outside unattended, and please ensure that all windows, doors and taps are closed when checking out.
Please make sure the fires are out before going to bed.
A speed limit of 30km/h applies on the farm due to wildlife roaming freely on the road.

This is a working farm and power outages and water outages are possible due to various circumstances such as wind, thunderstorms, animals trampling broken pipes and Eskom, which is not in our control. However, there is a generator for the main camp and a backup battery with solar for Arendskop. Spiders, snakes, mice and other animals may find their way into the chalet. Please report it so we can safely remove them.
